Working with the images

Analyzing and annotating images in the images tab

  1. Click on

  2. Click on the image to work with. Now annotate or analyze the image as desired.

  3. Once done working with the image, click on Save in the top-left corner.

note

The image MUST be saved in a folder since images cannot be associated with results or overlays if they are not located in a study.

An existing folder can be quickly selected or a new folder can be made by clicking on the New Folder button.

  1. The Add to Folder dialog will appear with the indication that the image must be saved in a study to save the associated results and overlays. Select a folder.

  2. Click OK.

  3. The image has now been saved together with the results and overlays.

note

The image can still be found in the tab without any results or overlays. This makes it possible to have the same image with different results and overlays depending on the study it is saved to.

Analyzing and annotating images arranged in a study

  1. Click on Database studies icon.

  2. Navigate to the appropriate folder in the navigation area.

  3. Select the desired image to annotate or analyze.

  4. After completing the work on the image, click Save in the top-left corner.

  1. A confirmation window will appear to prevent accidental overwriting. To proceed with saving, click Save, or click Cancel to abort.

  2. The image, along with the results and overlays, will now be saved.

Deleting Images

  1. Click on .

  2. Right-click on the image or image selection and select Remove image from database to delete it.

note

If the image is part of an existing study, the image CANNOT be deleted. The image must first be removed from the study/studies before it can be deleted.

  1. A confirmation window will appear to prevent accidental deletion. To proceed with deletion, click OK, or click Cancel to abort.

  2. The image has now been deleted from the database.

Adjusting the details view

  1. Click on and select details.

  2. The content view now displays the images and their associated metadata in a table-like format. If in Database studies icon, results for each image will also be shown.

  3. To adjust the Details view, right-click on the top row where the title of each column is shown.

In the right-click menu, all columns or results associated with the images displayed in the content view can be seen. Columns without a checkmark are currently hidden from the content area but will become visible if checked.

Tags associated with the images in the content view are also visible in this menu:

  1. Select Tag Groups in the dialog.

  2. Select the tag group to display in the content area.

Adding columns of data to images

  1. Click on .

  2. Navigate to the right folder in the navigation area.

  3. Click on the image to work with it.

  4. Click on and select details.

  5. Right-click on the top row where the title of each column is shown.

  6. Select new column.

  1. Type a name for the column (This cannot be renamed later) and click OK.

  2. The new column has been created.

  3. Double-click on the cell and start typing

note

The manually created columns are green to make it easier to distinguish between manually and automatically generated columns.

Move columns in details View

  1. Click on .

  2. Navigate to the right folder in the navigation area.

The Name column will always be first and cannot be dragged.

Move or copy images to another folder

Select the image(s) and right click in studies, and either choose 'move to folder' to move the selected image(s) to the selected folder, or 'copy to folder' to copy the selected image(s) to a new folder.

Select the preferred destination and click OK.

note

When choosing "Move to folder" the image will be deleted in the original folder.
